At the AFC Ann Arbor Foundation, we believe in leveling the playing field—literally. This fall, we launched our first All-Girls Soccer Program, providing young girls from underserved communities with a safe and supportive environment to learn and play soccer.

The program is free of charge and includes everything from uniforms to equipment, ensuring financial barriers don’t prevent girls from participating. With the guidance of passionate coaches, including several women who joined through our Coaching Diversity Initiative, these young athletes are thriving both on and off the field.

“I never thought I’d be playing soccer with a team like this,” said Emma, a 12-year-old participant. “It’s so much fun, and I’ve made so many friends!”

The program has already enrolled 50 participants and is making waves in the community. We’re proud to empower the next generation of female athletes and leaders.
